Demo & Contemporary Rebuild in Kensington
The clients for this project wanted to demolish most of an existing two story house to create a new home with an open and contemporary feel. Maintaining most of the original foundation and the front wall on the first floor, helped them both with their financing as well as permitting speed.
If you look at the before and after photos, you can see that the left side of the original first floor brick facade was retained – and updated as part of the new design. The rest of the house, including the garage set into the right side of the project is all new construction. New City designed and built the project from start to finish.
